On April 5th at 5:30pm, another edition of Global Beat México, with hosts Betto Arcos and KCRW DJ Raul Campos, will be live recording the show at Fingerprints Music. After exploring Australia and México, the next stop is the Cosmic Barrio — a mystical place not defined by borders or geography.
Arcos will discuss his newest book, Music Stories from the Cosmic Barrio, a collection of 150 stories from his travels throughout the world of Latin independent music (each the story of a moment in time). There will be a Q&A, followed by a book signing and a special guest performance by Guatemalan singer-songwriter and Latin Grammy winner Gaby Moreno.

KCRW’s Global Beat is a series highlighting emerging artists from around the world. Their second season takes us to México, hosted by KCRW DJ Raul Campos alongside curators, Mexico City DJ and music supervisor Junf, festival director and music consultant Monica Saldaña, and NPR’s Betto Arcos.
