Lafayette Ben Charlatan and the Charlatones will be performing at Fingerprints for the Bixby Knolls First Fridays Festival at 7pm (4/4/25). Please join us for this official opening party for the new Fingerprints location at 3811 Atlantic Ave in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach. The new LP vinyl record by Lafayette & The Charlatones, “The Lafayette” will be available for purchase and signing.
This First Fridays theme is County Fair so there will be surrounding businesses with fair food, beer, arcade games, live music, dancing, art, entertainment, shopping, farmers produce contest, and more from 6:30-9:30.
Lafayette Ben Charlatan is a singing piano tinkler and a human still; a walking distillation of 20th century American popular music. He draws from ragtime, to show tunes, jazz, rock and back to a singer sitting at a piano with a great song. He’ll be performing American Classics with a sprinkling of not-so-standards from the likes of Tom Waits, Dr. John, Leon Russell, Elvis Costello, and others that vibrate at his same frequency.
