Quite simply, Flock of Dimes new album, The Life You Save, is gorgeous and dreamy. There are moments that flirt with dissonance, and others that clang along quietly, but they don’t run this house, because the woman of this house is Jenn Wasner, who with this, her third solo record, has firmly planted her roots. FOD Started as a more atmospheric answer to her Wye Oak project, which at times was drenched in waves of Neil Young inspired guitar and at others in synth experimentalism. Jenn has also worked with Bon Iver, Sylvan Esso, and numerous others.
