A stark, soulful and deeply personal body of work, Weapons Of Beauty sees Buchanan step away from the thunder of the world’s biggest rock stages and into something slower, more intimate and more revealing. Written during an extended period of isolation in the Mojave Desert, the album is shaped by solitude, devotion, faith, doubt and love — a collection of songs that sit at the crossroads of Americana, country-soul, gospel and American gothic.
Produced by long-time collaborator Dave Cobb, Weapons Of Beauty is anchored by Buchanan’s singular voice — weathered, elastic and emotionally unguarded — carrying songs that wrestle with the cost of love, the weight of history and the possibility of grace.
