Reading Jesse Dayton’s resume is like reading an outlaw version of country/punk history. He’s toured supporting John Doe and Mike Ness, played with Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, filled in on guitar in X when Billy Zoom was out. He worked with Rob Zombie on The Devil’s Rejects / Halloween 2 Soundtracks… He played guitar on the new Duff McKagan album, he’s a regular on the Outlaw Country Cruise, and already has 2 tracks from his new Mixtape album, “Redneck Friend” and “Bankrobber” added to SiriusXM Outlaw Country. You’ve likely heard his music on True Blood, Justified, and Roswell, but you’ve definitely heard his playing, and now you can see what all the fuss is about.
Jesse will be bringing his hard-to-pin-down mix of old-school country, rock and punk when he stops in to celebrate the release of his new album, Mixtape Volume 1, a collection of covers by the Clash, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Neil Young and Jackson Browne, among others.
